Schönbrunn Palace Christmas Market – The market here is majestic, with a huge Christmas tree right in the center. A special atmosphere pervades the place, filled with light and clouds of steam from cups of punch. Visit the Christmas markets after sunset to enjoy the food and photo opportunities. Even professional cynics like me cannot resist the pleasure of chocolate-and-nut-covered fruits, roasted chestnuts, the good cheer, and the chance to buy a wonderfully beautiful handmade item for some ungrateful relative.
