An Ottoman stone bridge from the 18th century, a survivor of the old road along which tanners carried their goods from the outskirts into town — hence the name. It once crossed the Lana, whose bed was later culverted, so today the bridge stands amid greenery on the way from the centre to the Grand Park. Restored in the 1990s, it has become one of Tirana's most photogenic historic corners.
