A sprawling 106-hectare historic park encircling the iconic Osaka Castle, founded in 1583 by warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The grounds are fortified by colossal stone walls and two concentric water moats. Highlights include Nishinomaru Garden with 300 cherry trees, a grove of 1,200 plum trees, and walking trails. While the park is free, the reconstructed keep houses an eight-story museum with panoramic views.
