A 1913 Beaux-Arts terminal with one of New York's most recognisable interiors. The Main Concourse has marble staircases, arched windows and a vaulted zodiac ceiling scattered with more than two thousand stars, above the famous four-faced clock. Beside the Oyster Bar lies the Whispering Gallery: words whispered into one corner of the arch carry to the opposite one. By platform count it is the largest railway station in the world. Entry is free.
