One of the world's oldest continuously operating zoological gardens, established in 1864 by French botanist Louis Pierre. Located in central Saigon along the Thi Nghe canal, the lush 20-hectare park combines a rich botanical sanctuary shaded by centuries-old heritage trees with a zoo housing rare wildlife, including Asian elephants and Indochinese tigers.
