Founded in 1929 beside the botanical gardens in District 1, the Museum of History is a prime example of Indochinese architecture, blending French neoclassical elements with tiered Asian temple roofs. Its galleries chronicle millennia of Vietnamese heritage, showcasing prehistoric Dong Son bronze drums, exquisite Champa stone sculptures, Funan artifacts from Oc Eo, and imperial porcelain from the Nguyen dynasty.
