Standing on the Belém riverfront where Portuguese caravels once sailed for India and the Americas, this 52-metre limestone monument commemorates the 500th anniversary of Henry the Navigator's death. Styled as the prow of a caravel, it features Henry leading 32 figures of the Age of Discovery, including Vasco da Gama and Magellan. In front lies a massive marble wind rose pavement map, while the rooftop offers panoramic views.
