A bridge across the Vladayska river built in 1889–1890 and guarded by four bronze lions — one of Sofia's oldest symbols, which gave the whole neighbourhood its name. The Central Mineral Baths building, the synagogue and the Banya Bashi mosque with its hot springs all stand nearby. Restored and lit up in the evening, it is now a popular photo stop downtown.
