An artificial island of roughly four square kilometres reclaimed off Doha's coast: yacht marinas, residential towers and the Venetian-style Qanat Quartier with canals and gondolas. Its promenades, boutiques and restaurants are open to everyone, and at dusk the marina becomes the city's most photogenic evening stroll.
