Qanat Quartier

A feast for the eyes, this Venice-inspired district brings a slice of the Mediterranean to Doha. With turquoise canals surrounded by candy-colored buildings and elegantly curved bridges, Qanat Quartier is brimming with Instagram-worthy views. Play a tune on the musical staircase or stroll along the wide boulevards, wandering among the district's many boutiques and cafés. Usually these artificial destinations don't impress me, but I have to admit Doha does it quite well. Qanat Quartier is a shopping, entertainment and residential district in Doha that closely resembles an Italian town. Canals lined with sun-toned buildings housing homes, businesses and cafés.
