The historic building of the Slovak National Theatre graces Hviezdoslav Square in central Bratislava. Completed in 1886 to a design by renowned Viennese architects Fellner & Helmer, the Neo-Renaissance gem features an ornate facade decorated with statues of the Muses and busts of great dramatists. Right outside sits Viktor Tilgner's Ganymede Fountain. The venue continues to host prestigious classical opera, ballet, and theatre performances.
