A terraced garden palace built in 1728 by the Jaipur maharaja Jai Singh II for his queen from the Sisodia clan. Its cascading terraces, fountains, galleries and pavilions are covered with murals devoted to Krishna and Radha. A retreat where the royal household escaped court etiquette, it stands on the slope of the Ghat ki Guni gorge, about ten kilometres east of the old city on the Agra road.
