It is therefore not surprising that when people discovered a natural spring in a mountain pass in the Aravalli hills, they honored it by building the Hindu temple of Galta Ji. Nestled among the rocks, the temple features several sacred water tanks, some with modest fountains, as well as frescoes depicting stories of the Hindu god Krishna.
