Monument4.7 · 25 5214.6 · 21 737≈ 22 minFree entry758 m from the center

A deeply moving Holocaust memorial along the Danube river promenade, located just a short walk south of the Hungarian Parliament. Conceived by film director Can Togay and sculpted by Gyula Pauer in 2005, the artwork comprises 60 pairs of period-appropriate iron shoes—men's work boots, women's heels, and tiny children's shoes. It commemorates Jewish victims executed on the riverbank by Arrow Cross militia in 1944–1945.
