Southeastern Europe's oldest public park, opened in 1794 by Bishop Maksimilijan Vrhovac in eastern Zagreb. Designed as an English landscape park across more than 300 hectares, this green haven preserves ancient oak forests. The grounds feature five picturesque lakes with wooden bridges, the landmark two-story Vidikovac pavilion, peaceful nature trails, and the historic Zagreb Zoo nestled on a tranquil lake island.
