Orange Vélodrome

The home ground of Olympique de Marseille, opened in 1937 and radically rebuilt by 2014: now roughly 67,000 seats under a roof hung from steel masts, making it France's largest club stadium. On non-match days a guided visit runs through the stands, dressing rooms and boxes and out to the edge of the pitch; the upper tiers look over the sea and Marseille's hills. On match days the terraces are France's loudest.
