Lindenhof

One of my favorite things about Zürich is that it is aesthetically flawless – with postcard views throughout the city. The most famous of these views can be found at the top of Lindenhof, a historic hill offering a calm refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. This square dates back to the Roman era, when it was an important military fortress strategically located to watch over the Limmat River. One of the top things to do in Zürich is to visit the quiet park overlooking Zürich from the Old City Walls. Lindenhof is the oldest part of Zürich where the remains of a Roman medieval city wall stands high on a hill overlooking the Limmat River. During the day it can get quite busy, but at sunrise, it is quiet and peaceful.
