The Hamburger Dom is northern Germany's largest public funfair, taking over the Heiligengeistfeld in St. Pauli three times a year: in spring, summer, and winter. Tracing its roots to a 14th-century cathedral market, the fair offers towering Ferris wheels, high-speed roller coasters, and hundreds of stalls serving bratwurst and roasted almonds. Entry to the fairgrounds is free for all visitors.
