Run by the Vietnam Women's Union a ten-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, this is one of the country's most loved museums. Its exhibitions follow women's lives: costumes and rituals of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups, family traditions and motherhood, work and market life, plus a moving section on women at war. Labels come in English and French, and an audio guide is available. Allow 90 minutes to two hours.
