One of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world, dominating the Belgrade skyline from the Vračar plateau. It marks the spot where the Ottoman authorities burned the relics of Saint Sava in 1594. Its white marble and granite facade is crowned by a 70-metre dome, and the interior features roughly 15,000 square metres of brilliant gold-leaf mosaics executed by master iconographers.
