A historic beer restaurant in Bucharest's Old Town, pouring since 1879; the neo-Gothic building with stained glass dates to 1899. Inside you'll find painted vaulted ceilings, stained-glass windows and live folk shows in the evenings. The menu is Romanian classics: ciorbă sour soup, sarmale cabbage rolls, mici grilled sausages with mustard, plus house draft beer. Very popular, so book a table ahead for dinner.
