An avant-garde cultural institution set on the banks of the Tagus River in Lisbon's historic Belém district. It bridges the red-brick early 20th-century Central Tejo power station with an undulating futuristic pavilion designed by Amanda Levete. Clad in thousands of three-dimensional ceramic tiles that shimmer in the sunlight, its sweeping walkable roof doubles as a popular public overlook toward the 25 de Abril Bridge.
