A monumental early 4th-century Roman triumphal arch along Egnatia Street in Thessaloniki, affectionately known by locals as the Kamara. Commissioned by Emperor Galerius to celebrate his decisive victory over the Sassanid Persians, it originally connected the imperial palace with the Rotunda. The surviving brick piers are adorned with intricately carved marble friezes portraying dramatic battle scenes, cavalry charges, and sacrifices.
