Maison Tavel, located in Geneva's Old Town, is the city's oldest surviving private residence, rebuilt after a fire in 1334. Converted into the Museum of Urban History, it showcases daily Genevan life from the Middle Ages to the 19th century across period-furnished rooms and vaulted cellars. The top floor houses the famous Magnin relief, a remarkable 1850 3D model of Geneva before its medieval ramparts were dismantled.
