The Hôtel-de-Ville is Geneva's historic town hall, located in the heart of the Old Town. Built between the 15th and 17th centuries, it remains the political seat of the canton of Geneva. Its standout feature is a cobblestone spiral ramp inside the 16th-century Baudet tower, constructed so councillors could ride horses directly to upper floors. In 1864, its Alabama Room hosted the signing of the First Geneva Convention.
