The city's new museum opened in 2025 on the Bach Dang waterfront within the historic Dien Hai Citadel, whose ruins are woven into the building itself. Three floors hold some 2,500 artefacts: Cham heritage, maritime trade, the colonial era, wartime years and Da Nang's rise as a resort, with several interactive halls using AR and VR. National treasures of Vietnam are among the exhibits. About 90 minutes is enough.
