The only synagogue in Bratislava dates back to 1926 and is an outstanding Cubist building designed by the avant-garde interwar architect Artur Szalatnai-Slatinský. Its steel and concrete structure was advanced for its time and made it possible to create a large open hall without columns. The synagogue is still an Orthodox place of worship and has been preserved as a Slovak National Monument. The synagogue was built between 1923 and 1926 in the Cubist style according to a design by the architect Artur Szalatnai-Slatinský. A permanent exhibition of the Jewish Community Museum is located on the upper floor and is open to the public during the summer season. Admission: €6, 50% discount with the Bratislava Card.
