A luminous glass-and-concrete showcase at the foot of the sacred rock, opened in 2009 to a design by Bernard Tschumi. Transparent glass floors at the entrance reveal the excavated ancient neighbourhood below, while the top-floor Parthenon Gallery duplicates the cella's orientation, displaying original friezes opposite direct views of the temple itself. Nearby, five original Caryatids from the Erechtheion stand in the open gallery.
