An interactive museum of the Age of Discovery in the Miragaia district, on the banks of the Douro. The centrepiece is a boat ride through dark channels past living scenes: caravels, port warehouses, Eastern markets, jungle and storm. The exhibition follows the routes of Vasco da Gama and Magellan, with some sets built full scale; the museum works especially well for families with children.
