A major 14th-century Buddhist temple complex founded by Lanna King Kue Na on the grounds of a former royal flower garden. Its most striking feature is a tranquil field of whitewashed funerary pagodas housing the ashes of Chiang Mai's royal rulers. Dominating the site is a 48-metre golden bell-shaped chedi enshrining sacred Buddha relics, beside a vast open-air assembly hall with remarkable seated and standing Buddha statues.
