Opened in 1994 on the former military headquarters in Seoul's Yongsan district, this vast memorial complex documents Korea's military heritage, with a strong focus on the Korean War (1950–1953). Six indoor exhibition halls display thousands of historic artifacts, weapons, uniforms, and immersive battle dioramas. Outside, a massive park exhibits genuine tanks, fighter planes, artillery pieces, and a replica of patrol boat PKM 357.
