Venice Beach Boardwalk

Sight4.5 · 2 561≈ 45 minFree entry

The promenade along Venice Beach is a showcase of Los Angeles' alternative side: street performers and artists, the open-air Muscle Beach gym, basketball courts and a skatepark right by the sand. Millionaire Abbot Kinney began building his 'Venice of America' resort here in 1905, and the street-show atmosphere never left. Souvenir stalls and cafés line Ocean Front Walk, with the sandy beach and the Pacific just beyond.
