A cabinet of curiosities in Culver City mixing science, art and mystification: a private museum opened in 1980 by David Wilson and modelled on Victorian institutions. Displays include microminiatures visible only through a microscope, the story of Soviet space dogs, and a collection of bee-keeping superstitions — each hovering between fact and fiction. Wilson's creation earned him a MacArthur Fellowship.
