Station Tramway, Place des Nations Unies.

Other4.3 · 43≈ 15 min

As a place to feel the pulse of the city, Place des Nations Unies is a transportation hub laid out at the beginning of the French Protectorate to connect the new city with the old Medina. Place des Nations Unies is in constant motion, and its latest update took place in the 2010s with the construction of the Casa tram station. The square is surrounded mainly by modern architecture, though there are a few echoes of its early days in the famous Excelsior Hotel (1916) and the clock tower, erected in 1908, destroyed in 1948, and rebuilt closer to the Medina in 1993. Surrounded by government buildings and the central post office, United Nations Square is another well-known square in Casablanca.
