Snail House

It may not be the biggest, most beautiful, or oldest, but it is perhaps the most unique and little-known thing to see in Sofia, Bulgaria! Hidden in a prestigious hillside neighborhood of Sofia is a five-story, extremely colorful residential building shaped like a snail. At first, we were drawn to the bright colors and the size of the structure, but within a few minutes we began to notice the small details that make up the exterior of the Snail House. The Snail House is the most extravagant building in Sofia, located in the Simeonovo district. This colorful five-story building is built in the shape of a giant snail, and its unconventional form blends well with the surrounding environment. On the roof there are little butterflies and ladybugs, as well as some other little snails.
