Shanghai's main airport, Pudong International Airport, is located some distance from the center of Shanghai. The fastest way to get into the city is to take the Shanghai Maglev train. Accelerating to a speed of 430 km/h (267 mph), the maglev covers the 30 km (19 miles) to central Pudong in 8 minutes. The Shanghai Maglev Train (SMT) is the world's first commercial maglev line. The SMT runs between Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Longyang Road metro station.
