The railway station is a fine example of Soviet architecture, built in 1956 from tuff. The tower still bears the emblem of the Armenian SSR. Many interesting details have been preserved in the interior and courtyard. There is also a bus and metro station here. Sasuntsi David is a copper equestrian statue depicting David of Sassoun in Yerevan, Armenia. Installed by Yervand Kochar in 1959, it depicts the main hero of the Armenian national epic "Daredevils of Sassoun".
