One of Europe's largest and most magnificent Baroque palace complexes, located in Gödöllő just outside Budapest. Commissioned in the 18th century by Count Antal Grassalkovich, it became the cherished summer getaway of Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Sisi) and Emperor Franz Joseph. The palace features beautifully restored royal suites in delicate Rococo pastel tones, a rare historic Baroque theatre, royal stables, and an English landscape park.
