The smallest and one of the oldest active synagogues in Kraków, founded in the mid-16th century in the Kazimierz Jewish quarter. Named after Rabbi Moses Isserles (known as the Remu), an eminent Torah scholar, it retains an intimate Renaissance interior. Next to the synagogue lies the historic 16th-century Old Jewish Cemetery, containing the revered tomb of Isserles and surviving historic matzevot.
