Designed by Finnish architect Rainer Mahlamäki, its glass-and-copper exterior opens into a dramatic curving interior chasm. The immersive core exhibition covers a thousand years of Jewish life in Poland, highlighted by a full-scale painted wooden timber vault of the 17th-century Gwoździec Synagogue.
