A monument in the shape of an oyster holding a pearl on Doha's waterfront — a symbol of the Qatari capital and of the pearl-diving trade that fed the country before oil. It is one of the Corniche's most photographed landmarks, especially pretty lit up at dusk with the West Bay skyline behind. A wide esplanade for seaside strolls runs right beside it.
