An enigmatic stone garden on the slopes of the Upper Town (Ano Poli), created in the late Ottoman era as a private park with fountains, water channels and arched bridges. Over time the place fell into decay and gathered legends — from Masonic symbols to a 'garden of snakes' — but its core appeal is unchanged: semi-ruined romance and shade above the stifling summer city. You climb up to it on foot through Ano Poli lanes.
