Parco 2 Giugno is Bari's largest public park, named after Italy's Republic Day on June 2. Wide lawns alternate with pines and eucalyptus trees shading picnickers and joggers; ponds host ducks and turtles, children get playgrounds and cyclists and skaters get paths. The park lies between the sea and the Fiera del Levante exhibition grounds, an easy trip along the waterfront. Mornings bring yoga groups, while weekends are busy and lively.
