A Baroque cathedral in Prague's New Town, completed in the 1730s by renowned architect Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer. The church became a legendary historic site in June 1942, when seven Czechoslovak paratroopers who carried out Operation Anthropoid made their heroic last stand in the underground crypt against Nazi forces. Today, the crypt houses the National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror, preserving original bullet marks.
