Beijing Olympic Park, located at the northern end of Beijing's central axis, was the venue for the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Covering a total area of 11.59 square kilometers, it embodies three key principles: technology, greenery, and culture. The park is mainly divided into two zones from south to north: the Central Zone of the Olympic Park and the Olympic Forest Park. Located in the Central Zone of the Olympic Park, the "Bird's Nest" (National Stadium) and the "Water Cube" (National Aquatics Center) are the two landmark buildings of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Strolling through the Olympic Park is one of the best things to do in Beijing. It was in the spotlight during the 2008 Olympic Games (Summer and Paralympic) and the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. But when the park is not hosting the world's biggest sporting event, it is a bustling hub of activity for locals and visitors.
