Nowy Świat

Sight4.4 · 2 145≈ 30 min

This wonderful street attracts many visitors and is part of the Royal Route, a suggested tourist trail from the Royal Castle to another royal residence in Wilanów, the palace of King Jan III Sobieski. Nowy Świat stretches north toward the Old Town, crossing a number of attractive streets that lead to the University of Warsaw campus and the Nicolaus Copernicus monument. To the south, Nowy Świat turns into the elegant Ujazdów Boulevard and ends at Wilanów Palace. The most recognizable murals in the capital include: Soldados-Marionettes (45 Sienna Street), the 'Let's Colour' mural adorning a multi-level parking garage (27 Nowogrodzka Street), the David Bowie mural (1 Marii Kazimiery Street), and a mural dedicated to Kora, one of the greatest stars of Polish music (18/20 Nowy Świat Street).
