The Nezu Museum in Minami-Aoyama preserves the collection of Japanese and East Asian art assembled by magnate Kaichiro Nezu: over 7,000 items of painting, calligraphy, ceramics and tea utensils. Its jewel is Korin's Irises screen, a National Treasure shown only for short periods. Kengo Kuma built the present home in 2009, behind it lies a garden with ponds and tea houses — irises in spring, crimson maples in autumn.
