Dating to the 15th century, Collegium Maius is the oldest surviving building of Jagiellonian University. Encircling a Gothic arcaded brick courtyard with an ornate musical clock, the complex once housed professors' quarters and lecture halls. Inside, the museum displays priceless scientific treasures, including instruments used by Nicolaus Copernicus and the famous 16th-century Jagiellonian Globe showing the Americas.
