A museum of contemporary art in the Chatuchak district, opened in 2012 on the initiative of media magnate Boonchai Bencharongkul. Five floors are devoted to Thai art of the 20th and 21st centuries, from Chalermchai Kositpipat's Buddhist themes to Thawan Duchanee's dark canvases and the country's modernists. It is Bangkok's largest venue dedicated entirely to local art. A visit pairs easily with the nearby Chatuchak market.
