The house on Plaza de la Merced where Pablo Picasso was born in 1881 and spent his first six years. Opened as a museum in 1988, this 19th-century building recreates the Ruiz Picasso family flat on the ground floor, while upper floors hold the artist's prints, ceramics and documents alongside works by his father José, also a painter. A small museum — under an hour — and entry is free on Sunday afternoons.
